Week 8 New Year's Eve

In order to change some stuff for this new 2017, my family decided to go in a short road trip and celebrate the New Year in downtown Sarasota, and watch the pineapple drop during the last count down in 2016. We drove for about 1.5 hours and arrived early in order to find good places to watch the festivities. There were live bands, DJs, mechanicals attractions for the little ones and off course food and brewages for all ages. Definitely, a very interesting new experience, since we normally celebrate with a traditional diner among friends and family. So, for a change, being in a middle of a very large crowd of estrangers, was something completely out of our comfort circle, but we really enjoyed it.

I took the opportunity to photograph my daughter during the celebration. Here are some images, and as always, thank you for check my site and read my blog. Much more to come in 2017.

Week 2

More than a week has passed since my last blog post. I know, I know. If I want to accomplish my goals, I have to try harder. It is not easy to keep the blog updated, but I have to commit myself to do it.

Between different issues, these pasts 2 weeks have been complicated. I was in the process of buying a car for my teenage daughter, I had to change my baby boy to a new school, and have had to manage to take him to his swimming classes after school. My shooting time these past couple of weeks was reduced to zero.

I will have to work extremely hard these following weeks to catch up with the shooting time missed.

This weekend, fortunately, I will be involve in two different photoshoots. I hope to bring excellent images for all of you.

Thanks for checking out my blog, and get out and shoot.

Week 1

During this week, I have the opportunity to work with some great people. A local photography club organized a photoshoot at the beach during the sunset. I could not let this opportunity to pass, and I signed in for this event. During over two hours, several models and photographer collaborated with each other in order to create some great images.

I am happy with mines, and my models love them too.

Here are some of them.

Thanks for check out my blog, and get out and shot!!!!!

The beginning ...

Today is a very important day for multiple reasons. First, it is my birthday. A splendid motive to be happy and celebrate that we are alive. Also, today is the beginning of a new chapter in my life. After some years practicing and mastering my craft, I decided that today will be the starting point of my new endeavor as a professional photographer. As a photographer, I want to achieve many goals, but I understand that I need to start with small steps. This blog is one of these steps (or I should say 1/52 of them).

During the next 52 weeks (until my next birthday), I will commit to at least 1 blog activity per week where I can explore different opportunities. It can be a behind the scenes photoshoot, a sample of the final images, a video during the photoshoot, an educational video showing different photography techniques, or information about equipment and other products. There are a lot of possible alternatives for this blog, and I want to explore all of them.

I would love that you share with me this journey, and accompany me during this next 52 weeks.

To my family and friends, thank you all for your support and understanding. Without your involvement, all these projects would be impossible. I love you guys.

Thank you, and I will see you again in 7 days.
